Israel Continues Strikes in Gaza, Two Palestinian Teens Killed in East Jerusalem
Israeli forces have shot dead two Palestinian teenagers in the Kafr Aqab neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem, Wafa news agency reports. Meanwhile, outside the so-called yellow line south of Khan Younis, a displaced Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces, according to Nasser Hospital sources. Settler violence is also escalating in the West Ban
k. In Khirbet Abu Falah near Ramallah, settlers set fire to a Palestinian agricultural storage room and spray-painted racist slogans. Similar attacks were reported in Deir Sharaf near Nablus and al-Majaz near Hebron, where homes were attacked and residents assaulted with batons and stones. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights condemned the acts as part of a “wider pattern of increased violence against Palestinians.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that “the worst of the Gaza war is apparently behind us,” but warned that Israel “may still have to act” amid ongoing tensions. The Israeli military says an airstrike in eastern Rafah killed five fighters who exited a tunnel, claiming they posed an immediate threat. The military added that operations will continue to neutralize any threats. The UN has expressed concern over the “fragility of the ceasefire” and called for an immediate halt to killings in Gaza.
